Lamb of God

Yesterday us boys went to the Lamb of God concert that was being played here in Melbourne. But before that they were having a instore signing at a place called Rare Records, just down from the concert venue. Fraser and I got a cd signed, Patty a dvd signed and Todd got his acoustic signed. They were all really great dudes and were nice enough to let me take a photo of each of them. The concert itself was fucken' amazing but due to this lovely cold ive been stuck with for the last couple of days i was dying from all the smoke in the venue. I swear the dudes infront of us smoked like trains. One of them had a barbwire tattoo on his right forearm....

St. Kilda Beach

I went for a walk the other day to do some exploring. I ended up walking along St. Kilda beach. It was a really nice day but as you can see by the photo there isnt many people around. The beach itself is about a 10 minute walk from our backpackers. Someone told me that they have to comb the beach every morning for needles.

Hostel

The hostel were staying at is called Coffee Palace and is situated at St. Kilda Beach. It doesnt sell coffee but it does have one of those coffee vending machines. Its a bit of a dive but we call it home for now. Alot of the people staying here come from all over Europe with the majority coming from Britain. Everyone seems pretty cool so far. I think there may be a brothel up the road as I saw a couple of hookers roaming around yesterday morning. One of them was balding quite prominently. Classy to some I guess.

Cornerstone Roots

It was Anzac Eve on Tuesday, something totally new to us, and apparently its an excuse to get really drunk. We all thought it was a little disrespectful but went along with it anyway. Cornerstone roots along with 5 or so other bands were playing at a bar down the road so we went along. Apart from paying $16 for a jug of beer it was really good. Managed to grab the set list at the end of the night.

Homeless Entertainers

Saw this guy out in the CBD of Melbourne. Hes trying to take our cash by doing hulla hoop and being unbelievably tall. Apparently he is 57 yrs old and was injured in the Korean War.

This guy was playing down at St Kilda beach, just a little walk from our backpackers. The music was alright.
