Flatting Injustice Pt. 3

Heres part 3 of the 4 part series. This girl was the first person i met about renting a room. She greeted me at the door and looked like she had just rolled out of bed. Her hair was all over the place and the top she was wearing was covered in cat fur. She showed me around the house. Almost every room had an animal in it, from lizards to fish to cats to snakes, Id seen enough right there. We got outside, had a look, then turned around to see she had a fucken massive picture of ageless Australian entertainer Bert Newton hanging on the wall. She loved it, my face was melting.
Bert Newton

Flatting Injustice Pt. 2

Heres part 2 of the 4 part series. I went out to see this girl after work one day. She was a nurse who was just about to start working in the theatre ward, helping with surgeries etc. I honestly dont have anything bad to say about her except she didnt let me rent the room. She did get excited by the fact that i draw every once in a while, it surprised me a bit. I thought i would draw her anyway, gives me the chance of drawing a slutty nurse, something everyone should draw atleast once.

Stinky Old Homeless St. Kilda Tram Man

I had a pretty shit day on Wednesday and it was made a whole lot worse when i got on the tram to St. Kilda. As soon as the tram pulled up to the stop and i looked through the window and saw him i burst into flames. This fucking guy!!! Some old dude who swings on the railings in the tram, smells like a bar urinal, has chronic red eye that weeps and hes constantly wiping with dirty tissues, and spits into his jacket. Patrick's had a few run ins with him as has Todd who got him a couple of days in a row on the way to work. The worst fucking luck.

Flatting Injustice Pt. 1

Here's the start to a new multi picture feature I'm introducing to the blog. Ive decided to draw all the people who have rejected me for rooms to live in. Its an unbelievable pain in the ass going round to strange peoples houses and trying to convince them that your the best person to live with. On the positive side it kinda like Christmas. You get to the house not knowing what your going to get and are usually pleasantly surprised by how insane the people are. Here's the first of 4 drawings coming over the next couple of days. Steroid Sparky and hot girlfriend.

Train Trash

I was on the train coming home from a hard days work. As usual the train was packed, everyone was piling on top of each other. All were quiet except for this young couple. I couldn't see them but i could definitely hear them. Trash was spewing from their mouths, this being the most mind blowing thing i heard.

Is this true?

I heard a little story the other day that for me was absolutely brain melting. I thought that drawing a couple of panels that tell the story would be a bit of fun. It also gives the chance for the man at the centre of the story to defend/explain himself. Enjoy!

Neil Gaiman

Today I got up bright and early to see Neil Gaiman give a public seminar as part of a childrens book expo that was being held in Melbourne. It was at the Melbourne Convention Centre, with Neils Gaimans seminar presented in the John Batman (yay!) Theatre. He spoke for just over an hour covering his ideas on what makes a childrens book work and the process he uses to imagine and create the worlds in which he writes about. It was all incredibly interesting. Throughout the speech he stopped four times to read us poems he had written over the years which were all awesome!! He finished to a standing ovation, definetly deserved. We left the theatre and starting lining up at the signing table. It all went pretty smoothly with fans getting there books, comics and dvds signed. I was lucky enough to be the last person allowed to get a photo with him.
Neil Gaiman giving his speech. As you can see it was pretty dark on stage with only a spotlight shining down on him, hence the dark photo.
Neil Gaiman signing my book, looks like im gonna burst with excitement, what a loser! Such a bad photo.
